I disagree slightly with that... I still treat my wife (yes really married) good, but after 2 years of marriage things are different so I don't always act the same as I did. For instance I don’t say, "I love you" as much because I don’t want her to feel like it’s just a phrase; I want her to know I mean it. I don’t open doors as much because when I do I want it to make her feel special. I don’t give her expensive gifts on a regular basis anymore, but she has got diamonds of some sort every Christmas. Oh and I quite doing dishes...where I come form the cook doesn’t clean (and she can’t/doesn’t cook), but I did buy her a dish washer. I also don't go to bed the same time she does anymore, nor do I tuck her in, I feel that she is a big girl and I am a grown man who goes to bed when I want too, this bothers her allot...

She has said that "you are not the same guy I married" to me before and then reminisces of some time that I was extra sweet to her, but then when I think about it she doesn’t treat me the same way either. I think allot of this comes from us becoming comfortable with each other and desiring to have a little more personal comfort. Changing is natural, but a drastic change is not...if I where to become an Asshole to her all the time I guess I could see her getting mad that I changed.... but as in general I am still nice to her…. I've found out that guys don't change some just mature. My ex is 27 years old, and he's had 6 jobs in the past 2 years, all but one working for cash so he don't have to pay child support. He's lived with 4 different people. He has 2 kids with me, and then ended up marrying this girl and now he has 2 more with her, plus a step son now.
