I'm gettin ready to buy a crash cage for my f4i and was wondering how hard it is to install. I'm not all that good and doin shit myself so I'm wondering if I should be looking for some help. haven't decided on which cage to get either, any suggestions?

If you don't want it to break buy a 905, it's worth the hassle

i have a 905 on my f4i,,, get the right tools,, take your time if you still care about your fairings. just measure off a few different points to find the center of the hole and drill it first with a tiny drill bit. for the bottom notch on the right side make it about 1.5///2 inches bigger then you think. cause when the cage shifts it will crack you plastics if the notch isnt big enough, same with the hole on the left side for the bottom bar.
pm me if you have questions i can try to help you measure if you want or send you a pic of mine to get a idea.. it was a pain but i took my time.

I had to grind part of my 905 down to make it fit on my 01 6R. really weird, shouldn't have to do that. plus 905 has the best help/support in the world. they will replace anything all the time.

I'm getting a powers for my 900. i like 905 and powers the best.

Dude,
It took me 20 minutes to remove the cage off of my F4i... and it was bent all to hell. Not to mention, the people at 905 are awesome. My cage was pretty f*k'd up, and there giving me a new one for 1/2 price.

that's right PavementEater, my boy... 905 racing or powers because they are really similar, and so sic looking :blabla: jared and I put his 905 on his 01' 6r and had a little problem, so make sure to use proper lube :nudge: on all your engine bolts... also make sure to fit it up before cutting the holes in your fairings for the cross-stabalizer bar... :banghead: we rushed into it just a tad, but you'll be fine :bomb: :blabla:

I've got the 905 cage, and I'll swear by it. Although I broke the motor mount on the right side it was partialy my fault. ( I caught the corner of the 12 bar at almost a dead stop and it just kicked sideways) other than that I do twisters all day long and the cage is still holding strong.

here it goes.. if u buy an fi the good aprt is they dont roll up as easily cuz of the frame sliderz...but if u crash hard u can bend the frame slida back and strip out the motormount threads. not a big deal just find a bolt thats a lil smaller stick it through and put a nut on the back of it. with 905 or powers ur guan roll up and brake clipons and shyt but u wont hurt ur motor mounts. i wud run a 905 or powers and have sumone weld sum fi sliderz onto them sumwhere so u got the best of both worlds,

my 600rr has a 905 cage on it, wasn't hard to put on, but I F'ed up the plastics because I was in a hurry---si if you care about your plastics, don't buy a cage and don't stunt because they are still going to get messed up anyways, get a big drill bit---like 3" and a sawzall then cut your plastics to where you can slide then off without taking off your cage, looks like ass but who cares!!!! I'll e-mail pics if you need.
