Ok, I've asked about this same subject a million times prior to this but I am ready to order sprockets for my f3 and dont know what to go with.
Still want to rip the streets and highway. But want to get more power in second gear. Second will NOT come up.

stock front, +10?

anything will help.

+10 is pretty extreme ...my boy has a -2 +9 on his f2 and i have stock front with a +12 on my f3, neither are very good for highway. it will do it but at higher rpms than i like running when just cruising. If your just wanting to wheelie -1 in tha front and + 2 in the back, that will make it alot more fun to ride and still put you straight on the interstate

oh yeah call phil at moto-heaven. i ordered mine on a friday and got it on monday order line 1-877-416-3128

no prob, i'm about to get a 47 tooth rear(+4) and another master link so i can change back and forth from fun and extreme

so all you need is another master link to be able to switch back and forth?

Just checked out the moto-heaven web site and it looks like he's got lots of good shit.

I thought the -1 in the front is what made your RPMs so high?

well i figured if i took between 2 and 4 links out and put another master link i could switch between a 56 and a 47 by takin the extra links out for the smaller rear sprocket
.... as far as the -1 ... goin down in the front is more extreme than the back ... -1 in the front is about +3 in the back .... you could just get a 47 like i'm talkin about ... but your gonna need a longer chain to use it

I'm convinced that having a chain with 2 master links is the best way to go. You already have a stock size sprocket, so thats no extra money. Another master link is less than $5, so as long as you can change a bike wheel fast get a huge sprocket to stunt on.

very true. But if this kid is lookin to rip up 2nd/3rd gear highway wheelies I would go with like a -1, or a -1 +2 or 3 or some shit....
