you must be fucking kidding.... all riders need helmets.... a very close friend of mine died with no helmet going 6 mph pulling out of parking lot when a car backed out in front of him and he dumped the bike on its side and hit his head on the curb and died instantly.... NO, he wasn't a newbie or some kind of squid.... he was a 15 year experienced club racer and just felt like when we were cruisin' town he didn't need the helmet, 'cause he thought "what could happen, it's just cruising".... guess he was wrong about NOT needing a helmet.... oh yeah, i was with him when it happened along with 6 other riders, i was the unfortunate one who got to call his wife and son.... helmets should not be an option....

my boy brando = badass rider, probably the best ive seen (in person) ... smashed his face ...
then i was riding w/ him the other night, and he swears he's gonna always wear it now .... and not even an hour later he smashes his helmet against a wall ...
regaurdless of who you are, shit happens ... ive had almost 20 years on a bike (since i was 3) and i still strap up with a lid.

Whoa everyone I have a lid. Just didnt at that time. This pic was shortly after I got the bike I went a bought a lid the next weekend. I wore it 90% of the time when I had the bike.

I know 2 types of riders...Ones that have gone down and ones that are going down. Nobody is perfect, protect yourself. I know a couple of AMA races and they wont ride a bike without a helmet. Not even on the street and these guys know how to ride.

buddy of mine used to do that........... till his peg broke in a standup wheelie...... helmet came off as soon as he hit the pavement.......... got lucky and found away to keep his head off the pavement pretty much....just a scratch on one cheek
