I was watching CNN and they were talking about Blockbuster and their no late fees. Well, they thought it would be nice and help the custumers whhile at the same time to blow out the interent rental places that don't charge late fees.

But when they brought the investigation thing in by another person they found this. Yes, there is no late fees but when you late within a few days, they chagre the enitre value of the video to your credit card. Hell what's worse is they won't tell you. You'll just find it on your statement...

Hell, that's worse than the late fees.

yea that happened to my best friend. she rented Troy and didn't return it for 2 weeks and then got her CC statement and was charged the full price of the video. whats ironic is that she used to work for blockbluster!

Yep. You end up paying $25 for a USED DVD, and you don't get the box, inserts, etc.

Blockbuster sucks.

i was in blockbuster the other night and i asked the girl there about it....she said after like 7 days after its due, they charge the whole thing to your account, but if you bring it back before 30 days they reduce it to only $1.75, so there are late fees but you get some extra days if you cant have it back by 12 the day its due

Hey guess what boys...i work for blockbuster! 1st of all the reason they changed the time the movies are due to noon was to give ppl extra time, it used to be due back on the previous night by midnight. Second of all, technically there aren't any "late fees" you get an extra 7 days then they sell the movie to your credit card, you have another 30 days to return it and get a refund though (except $1.25 restocking)...if you can't get a movie back within a month, your an idiot to begin with. ya'll were mad when we had them and now that we don't you'll find something new to bitch about...just thought i'd fill ya in :dong:

you must have been back in the day like some of us when credit cards were something no one used normally. Most everyone used cash in those days... Credit card? WHo has one of those. Then normally you write a check. And the check would give you leeway so you could spend and then put it in the bank by the following day after the next and be cool....
