I'll never go except maybe just to visit in a car. Heard nothing but bad things about crashes, cops, and dangerous squids with something to prove.

cool I'm not much of a knee dragger so I don't really want to hit it like a pro but it looks bad ass.

Yea he is right...You shouldnt even go...Someone is gonna be riding or driving dumb in the curves so youre gonna get hit.

Hell, you might as well never even ride public roads because there are morons out there that drive like monkeys EVERY day...

We should all just put up our helmets and quit riding... :Noooo: :bitchsla:

Way to blow things out of proportion. I was just simply providing an alternative perspective to his seemingly naive one.

hey thought i would post up. I went last year.. o btw yeah dropped the bike there too.. the roads are good. the cops stay off the tail of the dragon for the most part but sometimes do run radar at the end of the dragon and other roads around. if you plan on riding at 30 mph or great you will be dragging knee.. the turns are like 10mph turns and there are a lot of them. many of them blind turns. it is best road to ride i have even been one. the cars pull over for you and no one in our group had any problems with other riders. i think everyone should go there atleast once. if i can answer any other question let me know.

You guys blows things out of proportion. Its my personal opinion that I don't want to take the risk just to ride some curves on some mountains thousands of miles from my house. I'd rather take the hour and a half or so drive to the nearest racetrack. I'm not downing anyone who wants to go, I'd like to go see it and be around it and take in the sites and the history, but not ride it, it just doesnt appeal to me. I ride my bike almost everyday. I'm not scared of a daily commute, nor taking a sunday ride on ocassion, but deals gap just isnt something I feel I have to do to complete my life.

Do a google search. It's a infamous road on the Tennesee/N. Carolina state line.

it sounds fun to me what ever you guys think if you havn't been you can't knock it. If you don't like speed and tight corners and the rush of pushing yourself and your bike to its limits you should have bought a scooter :hitler:

We ahve a big group of riders and racers that go every year. I'll be down there the second week in may with 40 or so people.

bigman, what do you mean wide open speed corners? Most people don't get out of first or second on the majority of those roads.

We took the road that runs from the deals gap resort to robinsville. they are long sweepers that you can take around 100mph or at least we did.
