Just cuz...There is no need for that much power....I have had a gsxr 1000 and they are stupid cuz there is too much power....I just sold my 900rr and I am going back to a 600.
Why did you say that drew....
I agree with drew. a 600 is just fine for anyone. especially if your gonna just be rollin around town. Im not sayin you cant handle it, you just got the 600rr and youll prolly lose your ass if you try to trade it in.

the overall size of your bike isnt going to change much. Its the engine displacement size that is really the difference. Check the specs on them. I have seen those new 1000. They are sweet but I havee to agree with everyone else. WAy to much power. If you want to know how much power they have take on for a test ride. It will scare the shit out of you I can promise you that.

there probably aint a whole lot of riders in the area that will even be able to ride a 600 to its full capabilities

hell yeah, I love 600's.. I'd only get a 900rr or 929rr if it was a sweet ass deal.. Other than that, I'll stick with the 6hundos.. I rode this kids gix1k, and it was just stupid fast, unenjoyable fast... Seems like its only good for acting a fool on the highway or fucking with cops(lol)... other than that, putting around town you wont get to see that power anyway... stick with the 6(lol)... Damn, I should sell that line to gang bangers(lol)..

i only got the gixxer grand becuase i was wantin' the brutally fast power that came with it... i corner faster on my old 600, i've been ridin' 600's and 750's since 1986 when i got my first gixxer and never did i feel too big for the bike or that i was faster than the bike... there's lots of pros that will tell you they can't outride the abilities of a 600 and any average street rider who THINKS they can outride their 600 will only hurt themselves on a bigger bike... if you want the cbr1000 then just be honest with yourself and admit that you are hungry for the beastly power and don't tell yourself you are too big for the current bike...

might be too much power for in town but 1000 doesn't scare me...I've ridden many of them.

very close but not identical...the 1000 has more faring and doesn't look as open. The rear cowling is bigger and it has dual exhaust under the tale. I don't know if everyone would be able to tell the difference but when you look at a 600 every day you can tell....and there is no if to it I have a 600rr

Hey SiS...
...If you need more power than Chris Vermuelluen (2003 WSS Champ on a CBR600RR), then I wanna buy you a beer...Stick with the CBR600RR.

I recognize those bikes all too well. The more I'm listening the more I'm thinking of staying with the 6 I have...Mine looks like the bottom pic but all black

Here are some more pics of the Beautiful new 1000rr. These pics are of this cat that I know and what happens when you under estimate that power of the new 1000rr. This cat knows how to ride and he has been on 1000's for some time now. He still has 2 gixxer 1000's in his garage and been riding for years. You all might be wondering why it is covered in mud, well lets just say it wanted to take a swim in the Mississippi river.
