What program are you guys using to edit your videos? I use Premier and Sony Vegas. Is there a program that lets others upload videos like on the R-1 forum or uponeone?

I had premiere 6.0, and one thing that I liked about premiere is that you could save a clip as a filmstrip and open it in Photoshop and apply some cool filters to the video frame by frame. You have to have some major RAM to do this because it Photoshop opens the filmstrip as one big picture. I'm sure that premiere is a good program and I just didn't give it enough time to learn it. I got Vegas 4.0 and I was able to pick up on it real quick. I didn't even have to open the user manual to figure out how to use it. I might reinstall premiere again and force myself to learn how to use it. Because how hard can it be? I already know how to use Photoshop good and they're both made by adobe. Right?

i use premiere 6.5 and it kicks ass compared to others i tried even 6.0 but 6.0 compresses the vid way smaller than6.5 so i keep it just to compress.

Well I had Premiere 6.5 and I fucking hated it. Now I have Premiere Pro 1.5 and I find it a lot easier to use. I would suggest getting your hands on a copy of that if you have the means. Definitely seems to be a completely better program than the ones before it.

On the surface they look quite a bit similar, but they took out a bunch of useless shit that is in 6.5, and made everything a lot more self-explanatory. They made editing Keyframes, and effects a lot easier too. I haven't dived to deep into the program yet, but so far I think it just works a lot better than 6.5, and from what I've heard some professional editors said, once you get into the real technical stuff, pro is where it's at.

premiere pro all the way. vegas is considered "mediocre". if you take college courses on fine arts and video editing, you learn Final Cut, Premiere, and Avid.... that's it.

vegas is good tho, but i can ALWAYS tell when a vid went through vegas for editing... lol, it's cheesy effects stand out SO MUCH. that's why so many people like vegas, because it's easy.

see everyone told me to get vegas cuz it's easy, and I got it, and I couldn't figure it out...so I got premiere pro instead, and haven't looked back.

well, premiere pro is easier to me.... WAY easier... because it takes some level of skill in general computers to understand them. they're easier to those people that aren't that skilled i think. ;-) lol
