ok, ive been working on them now for a lil while
sometimes i get them smooth, but other times i just come right back and park them
Is there a trick or what?? Its just getting irritating
I know that i probably just need to keep practicing them

I know I could just throw it back there but you can't gorilla scrape a gixxer like you can your 900. All you need to do is work on being smoother.

Leave it how it is, that's about perfect for a 900.

I have a tip. Turn the idle down more. Low idle = more engine brake. When I try new tricks that rely on engine brake, sometimes I turn the idle down so far that the bike wont run without throttle input. Hope it helps.

thats how you do it for shizzle
yep with 2 and 10 on a RR you should be able to bring like 1in from the bar w/o hittin it it all about bein smooth and consistant......try doin the faster and slowin them down thats the best way to learn how much engine break you really have...even though your goin fast and it might be more intimidating just remember as long as your smooth with the throttle you will not loop out in the taller rpms.....like i had a mudflap on my f4i for a little bit and i was scrapin the bitch in highchairs.....and all i got is 2 and 10 on a 600...just dont think about it and play if you crash you crash...seat standers are the least painful crashes i think ive had

While we're talking about seat standers, lets talk about body position. I think when peeps keep their arms and legs straight, and stick their ass out, that looks fucking gay. Not tight at all. Bring the wheel the rest of the way up, and pull yourself close to the bars - much cooler, and a hell of alot easier to steer.

Yeah, I hear that, I'm 6'1". Its defintely harder, cuz the wheelie needs to be higher to keep balance. Its much easier to steer though.

Finally got some balls last week and started parking them. Did it on the second try, they actually are really easy once you get past the fear factor. I worked on them all day Sat. in StL and was actually riding them out about 3-6" from the bar and creeping it. Next step is to gain a little speed so i can scrape and then ride it out, instead of putting it on the bar and sitting down to bring it back down.

ya, been doing the same here kyle...i havent got em down to where i can scrape and then come back from it w/o droppin down and hittin the brake either. Ya, once you park the 1st one...its cake after that
