Or maybe even 20,000 in one year. How much would it be worth?
Would it be worth it tom buy a new one the following year? Or if I am going to put those type of miles on it. Stay with the trcuk and drive the piss out of it as it now has a motor which so far I put 600 miles on it driving back. ?

keep METICULOUS maintenance records.
buy it new and get the extended service plan. that way all your services are covered and documented. also document when you do the "in between" oil changes and the miles, take freakin picture if you have to. people are more inclined to purchase a high mile bike if they KNOW, and can be proved to that you were an anal mofo when it came to taking care of it. im assuming you're talking about possibly using it for daily transportation.

nah, maybe tomorrow. I'd rather get drunk tonight. Go back to the mountians and go fishing or something. You seem a little bored. While I am trying to think of investments, you are running your coochie flaps. Err, I mean those lips of yours.
Do us a favor. Go kill some animals prepare and cook them, then invite stunusa over so we can consume or food in exchange for gifts of cologne, toilet paper, and soap.

yea bro. That's EXACTLY what I am thinking.
If I trade this gas hog in, I'll do the miles on the bike instead of the Expy. Sell the expy to get the bike in other words.
One job I can get will be 45min drive per way. Appx 35miles. That is if I am to avoid tickets for the time being. I am working on getting a job in the college town I am in. That way I don't have to drive but max 10miles/day....
If I move back home to San Diego/ LA I can hang up having anything extra. Living in the projects and ghettos/barrios with rent at $1500/mo for a 1bedroom apt doesn't seem too smart. Plus gas is 2.80/gal. and so on.
So I'll be out here for a bit. A bike would give me the best gas and the best transport since I am a moto freak and have been riding for yrs. Almost 2 decades now. But I know once I get on it wheelies I go and tickets will come. But being BRAND new, I may not do they evils and beat her down. I normally take care of my rides so I would prob take it easy.
So what do you think?

If you're gonna rack up miles, buy one that's a year old. Let somebody else that that first year depreciation hit.
Besides, the 03-04 Gixxer 1s are better looking

I saw the 04 but asked about the 05 saying "no bulshit what's the price on this out the door NO NOTHING ELSE" price was given. then I asked the price on bullshit I'd never want like hunting quads and such.... then..
I was tlking to one dealer shit and they were like " the 05 is $300 more..."
this can't be rigfht huh?
Bikes are like cars as far as i am concerend. but not THAT close, RIGHT? I have never even considered a new bije until now. Is this about right?

if that's the case I'd say they're asking to much for the 04
