ive been piecin together a handbrake kit and thought i was kickin ass until i went to order my 5 feet of steel braided brake line with standard banjo fittings.

price from:
cycle gear: $100
random websites: $75 to $100+

until i found:
this place (http://www.parksoffroad.com/tacomamods/customfrontbrakelines/order.htm). i called that number and got a quote on 5 feet of steel braided line, with standard banjo fittings. $30. -> $37 shipped. and it went out the same day!!!

so know im up to:

- caliper and resivoir $30 shipped
- master cylinder, perch, resivoir and misc plumbing $35 shipped
- 5 feet steel braided custom brake line w/ standard banjo fittings $37 shipped
- custom bracket for dual caliper setup $free

all im lacking is a brake lever (5 bucks) and a set of brake pads. :D

so all in all, if you need lines cut, check out that site up there, real easy to deal with and very cheap!

damn, and i was feelin all badass w/ what i got...

at least its all 03 parts and the line is custom cut and brand new.

the dual caliper bracket is being made by dusty's dad, who if i may say so myself, is damn good at stickin metal together.

most of the kits ive seen have been between 150 & 200 bucks so i thought i was gettin a good deal.

yeah, what's difference between the motoheaven hb set up and full throttle? which is better and why?

This is how I view it...The moto-heavan is a "beginner" set up, where as the fullthrottleinc.net setup is the high quality top notch HB. The moto-heavan setup runs an adapter that pushes into your stock "foot" master cylinder. It comes with an inexpensive lever and braided line, banjo bolts etc. This lever has the reservoir incorporated into it.

The fullthrottleinc.net setup comes with a completely new CNC master cylinder, a braided line with a "coating" over it, and lever with a remote reservoir....and all bajo bolts, etc.

The moto-heavan is a great entry level system. But, from the ones that I have dealt with, there have been leaks in the adapter which makes it a pain to bleed. The inexpensive lever is a pain in the ass to get in a position that works well and comfortable

The fullthrottle setup bleeds very easily, comes with a "coated" line which is nice bc its more heat resistent and less likely to wear through. The lever is top notch. The remote reservoir is easy to mount and get out of the way.

I personally would rather pay a lil extra and get the top notch shit and know it will work amazing and have few complications
