when the bar is on you shoul be ablr to put a 2x4 against tha back tire and the top of the plate should be touching the 2x4 as well and ther should be about 1/4 of an inch to 1/2 of an inch gap between the bottom of the plate and the 2x4

You could do that in 1942.....make the side pieces for the bar, set that bitch up at 12, see if thats what angle you want it to be at, put your scrape plate under those, tack it on if it looks good. Then set the bike back up, take your bar off and weld it up, slap some paint on it, put it back on and BOOM youre out throwing sparks and starting fires

When the bike is sitting on both wheels, the bar should be directly above the back of the rear tire, or an inch or 2 shorter.

When u set the angle, stand the bike up on the bar, and let all the air out of the back tire. Weld it flat there. Then when you put air back in the tire, only the top of the bar will scrape at first, and it will break in properly.

I usually use the "back it against the wall" method, let the air out of the tire and back it up against the wall. I usually let all the air out of the tire so its a little bit past 12 after putting air back in. If you put the plate flush with the wall it should sit pretty nice when its at 12
