they have no right to ask for a license and they have no right to ticket u in a lot.....unless no tresspassing is posted....but other than that u and your boys have every right to be there , just as the cop does...., unless he got called there by the owner of the property....the owner, not some asshole that just drove by, and cant mind his fuckin business and has to call the cops.....you know the type of people i'm sure....
as for licenses.....if u r on private property, the rules of the road do not apply, so you wouldnt need a license to ride it in a parking lot, or if the state requires a helmet, u dont need one.....see what i mean..
but if he sees u pull out on the road, obviously hes gonna stop u.....but if u trailer your bike there....u dont need a motorcycle license in a parking lot.....
so next time tell the cop to eat a dick.... :pimp:

If you are in plain sight they can question the legitimacy of your bikes and probably ticket you and check your license. Necessarily, it does not mean you are guilty but you will have to go to court and explain yoself.

they do in virginia... i know people that have gotten reckless driving for doing burnouts in parking lots(private property)... and i was told by another cop that if he saw us doing wheelies and shit in a parking lot that he could give us reckless driving...
its really fucked up but thats what i was told....of course as soon as i get my stunt bike (as soon as my fucking zx6r sells) i will be fighting that shit and finding a parking lot where i can tell the cops to fuck off if they say something...

I know for a fact that you DO NOT (in VA) have to have a drivers license to operate a motor vehicle in a parking lot that is private property. You can definitely recieve tickets such as reckless, depending on the zoning of the property and also if the property owner charges you with the reckless. They do however have to prove that you were risking life, limb, and/ or property of yourself or others. Just went to court about this in March. There are also no ordinances that apply because your drivers license is a state owned and controlled priviledge.
The shitty part is that yeah, most cops are cocksuckers and ignorant to the law, so they still end up charging you with shit that yeah, you can beat in court...but you still lose cuz you gotta pay for a lawyer. Fuckin bullshit.

Yeah I have to agree with douchebag here. If they have probable cause (in Maine) they can get away with a lot. If it is a private road that is access to a business they can ticket you and treat it as a public road. However, it is contingent upon state law. I would look into your state law before assuming, each one will be different.
