all semis are legal...except..u cant have over a 15rnds in it.....and it cant have a "flash suppresor" or bayonet lug......not sure about the pistol grip on the the rifles...my ar has one..so i guess its ok..lol

well if you got a rifle and shotgun permit all you have to do is go to city hall pay 3 bucks and you get a permit to purchase.. when i got my shotgunrifle permit i was given a 90 permit to purchase a handgun.. i dont know about going back to get another if its given right there for 3 bucks again or you have to wait..hmmmm
