Where or How can I get a blank frame stamped?
My stuation: I have this katana that Im probably selling the motor out of. A katana frame is almost worthless, even with a clean title. On the other side of my garage I have an F3 frame without numbers. The vin isnt ground off or anything, it just never had a vin to begin with, it was a replacement part from Honda. I love the scrape bar on this frame, and Id really like to get it back into rotation and ditch one of my F2s. So I'd like to stamp the vin from my katana onto it and make it semi street legal.

Go to harbor freight tool or any other industrial tool supply company and buy a set of number punches. Take your time and make it look good. i.e. spaced right and not crooked.

I'm not sure but I thought the bike had to be the same that you were stamping the vin from. Just be careful, thats a risky matter. Better off starting with something else. Just my 2cents
Peace
MSC supply or Grainger supply, companys like these have the chinese knockoff tooling in thier catalouges real cheap. next day delivery also.
(just use a prick punch to distort the aluminum on the frame first before you put the new numbers in.This does not allow the old numbers to show through in a dye test.)

VIN numbers arent just random numbers, every one of them means something, and anyone that knows about them will know the # isnt a Honda Number, but one off a Kan-a-Tuna

if you just want the bar, cut it off and weld it on one of your f2's

Plan B is to stamp the frame and sell it to someone who knows the deal.

can you take the vin plate off of one of your street legal f2/f3 rivit it on the blank ( since it's a blank and not a frame with a ground down vin ) you should be able to get away with 2 stunt bikes with the same vin, as long as your not riding them at the same time

I could do that, but I'd rather use the katana vin since I dont use my katana anyway.
