I just got my first streetbike (2002 yamaha FZ1) about a week ago and none of my friends have bikes. Im always up for riding and just need people to ride with! im 18, got my ears pearced, and love to go fast!!!! :)

There is a good sized group of us in Ames that ride every Tuesday night (about 15-20 bikes). We either meet at the Phillips 66 on West Lincoln Way at 7:00 or at B-Bops on Duff at 8:00. We'll be out riding today if you want to come up.

damn boy, slow down on being so quick to hate on people... there's lots of times a post will go a couple days without much response... if you want to learn about the stunt game then you are in the right spot as most of the people posting on here who are from des moines stunt (except most of the girls who are BW's) ... if you're lookin' for some cruising partners then there really aren't that many of them who post up on here, unfortunately there's a pretty solid seperation on the 2 parties in des moines... i'm not agreeing with it, but that's the way it is here... i street ride, but spend quite a bit of my time down at the stunt spot... there's a couple groups who meet up @ the downtown quick trip on friday and saturday nites (if you like to race from 1 QT to another) and sometimes during the week, there's also a lot of riders who show up to bikenite @ porky's on thursday nites...

BTW... a FZ1 is a big bike for being first street bike and only 18 years old, be cautious on it and wear your fuckin' helmet...

thanks mark for the responce. I dont really know how to explain myself. Im not mad by any means. and im not trying to hate on people. sometimes people dont get the way i intended to say something. (i ment it in more of a humiorous way but its very understandable how it would come off as "ass hole" comment. i apoligise) FOR CRYING OUT LOUD DEVIN IT DIDNT EVEN INCLUDE ANY "LOL" OR "HAHA" YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF! yes, your right fZ1 is plenty of bike for a first timer. I was after something smaller but ran across a damn good deal on this one and i just love the bike.

You would never know this was Devin's first ride! He can hold it down on the YZF 1000!! He caught up with us Friday and broke a few laws!! Keep it up.

As far as riding in DM... yeah, Mark is right... there is seperation. I got guys/girls on both sides...neither are 'right' or better (even though they both tell you they are)! JK It is pretty HS!!

The QT thing is garbage to some, the stuntin at the same spot is garbage to others. Some ride 10mph wheelies, some ride 80mph wheelies. Some drag their legs behind the bike, some drag their knees off the side of the bike. It is the same damn thing. Ego is the only thing that fuels the separation.

Bottom line, we all ride... respect the 2 wheeler no matter what you are into!
