Pits and Staff terriers (basically the same breed) but they are my favorite breed. People misunderstand these breeds. I cannot stand it. I work at a vet hospital and i havnt met a mean one yet in the 5 years of doing this work. I trust pits more than it trust a rotti, german shep, or even a golden retriever. Yeah did u know the number one dog to bite a kid is?? yeah a golden retriever and there suppose to be such a great family dog. I would recommend a pit to anyone even if they have kids. Its all in how you raise them. Oh now kane corso's are nasty dogs, hate everyone but there owner and they will kill. No matter how they are raised they are always mean.

in your first sentence, "basically" is right. When you know alot about them and spend years with them like my booty, you'll know they are like nogith and day. But when compared to other breeds yea, the are "basically"the same.

It's not all in how you raise them... it's all in how you breed them. Some of those Pits that are bred in the ghetto are doomed from the start. Pits that are bred genuinely are excellent dogs. But some Pit's genes are so fucked up that the dog can't help but be fucked up. I've seen a Pit snap on his owner... an owner that loved him like a child. It's sad, but he had a retarded Pitbull. I don't recommend random Pits to people with kids. If you know the bloodlines of the dog, that's another story. It's like giving someone a retarded kid and saying if they raise him right he'll be fine.
